Klezmer in the Big Easy

It's official, I moved to New Orleans! So far things are off to a jumping start down south, and we've had some great shows...

I played for the local country night under the name Heimish and was happy to bring some of the Jewish spirit to our friend's big fat Greek wedding. Negotiating everyone's schedules and touring has meant a slow start, but theres some big things planned for the coming year so stay tuned for upcoming concerts and videos!

European Tour 2016

I'm excited to announce that planning is in the final stages for a summer 2016 European tour! I'll be playing with some world class European musicians, including Berlin-bsaed accordionist Ilya Shneyveys, as well as some fine musicians from the US and Canada. A full itinerary will be announced soon, with dates in Italy, Germany, the Netherland, and the UK.

The band will play traditional Klezmer (Eastern European Jewish music) with one foot in the Shtetl (small village) and the other in a New Orleans dance hall, and some concerts will also feature selections from the jazz, blues, country, and folk repertoire.
